Production Labor (Non-Union)

Labor (Non-Commercial):

Sound Mixer (Day Rate): $800/10 hours

Minimum Call: 10 hours

Overtime: After 10 hours 1.5x/hourly / After 12 hours 2x/hourly

Labor (Commercial):

Sound Mixer: $975/10 hours

Overtime: After 10 hours 1.5x/hourly / After 12 hours 2x/hourly

Other Fees:

Travel Day: Day rate

Mileage: IRS Mileage

Per Diem: GSA Rates

Parking/tolls or rideshare: Full

Congestion Pricing: Full

Reimbursement: ≥ 20 miles from 11238*  Full IRS Mileage Rate & Portal to Portal hours are in effect

*On a case-by-case basis, if traveling to the job and back is not feasible in a single day, travel days {full labor), per diem (GSA rates), lodging, and/or flights will be discussed

Deal Memo Terms

By booking Mantani Media LLC for your project, you agree to the following terms and conditions: 

Payment: Net 30 payment terms. Multi-week projects will be invoiced weekly. Equipment must always be paid on 1099. Labor is accepted on W2 if discussed in advance, but all paperwork is done on the clock. If paperwork is not provided on set, one hour will be added to the timecard. 

Late Fees: Invoices unpaid by invoice due date are subject to a 10% late fee compounded monthly until which time invoice and late fees are paid in full. Payments must be issued with processing and mailing time factored in order to avoid late fees. 

Cancellations: 100% of labor and equipment is due in the event of cancellation within 24 hours of the calendar date of the shoot, 50% within 48 hours, and 25% within 72 hours. Example: If call time is 2 PM on Thursday, you must cancel by 11:59 PM on Sunday to avoid cancellation fee. 

Turnaround: Expected turnaround for consecutive days is 12 hours off-clock. If forced call < 12 hours off, labor rate moves to the next tier until full reset of 12 hours received. 

Meals: At or before six hours from call, a 30 minute meal break and hot meal is to be provided by production and off-clock. Meal penalty is equal to 1 hour of prevailing rate for each 15 minutes after hour 6 until break called. Second meal must be provided after an additional six hours, with the same meal penalties applied. 

Copyrights: In accordance with USC Title 17, any works created by Mantani Media LLC on behalf of Production Company / Client are considered works for hire. Until invoice for rendered services is paid in full, Mantani Media LLC retains the copyrights and authorship to all sound recordings / audio recordings as standalone or part of a larger audiovisual work, digital audio files, and phonorecords fixed to any media or stored on any device including but not limited to hard drives, SD or CF cards, computers, embedded in video files, recorded to cameras or VTR machines, etc…  Upon full payment of invoice for services rendered, the copyright ownership automatically transfers to Production Company / Client and are henceforth considered the author in accordance with works for hire definitions under USC Title 17. 

Equipment Definitions: All tools and equipment rented from and/or provided by Mantani Media LLC must be defined as an Equipment Rental and not as a "kit fee”· or similar. 

NDA: Mantani Media LLC is willing to be restricted by an NDA, provided such NDA does not restrict the name of the client solely for self promotion 6 months after wrap. 

Insurance: Insurance certificate for Rented Equipment must be issued by production listing William Mantani as Additional Insured and Loss Payee. 

L&D: Production assumes all responsibility for any lost or damaged items rented during the term of the shoot. Production is responsible for paying any insurance deductible. Any damaged gear is to be repaired or replacement value paid at current retail rate or MSRP. Equipment remains payable at daily rate until replaced or returned to service. 

This rate card and any invoices or deal memos issued by Mantani Media LLC are the primary terms between client and Mantani Media LLC. No documents may alter these terms once work has begun. Project negotiations are made in good faith based on statements by producer / production. Substantial differences in scale or scope of production including previously non-disclosed hazardous situations will result in immediate renegotiation upon discovery. This includes attempting to book a commercial shoot at non-commercial rates. These rates & terms are subject to change at any time and are only guaranteed at the time of booking.
